Toots Ople to head OFW dep’t 

Presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., confirmed on Monday, May 23, that Susan “Toots” Ople accepted his offer to head the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) department.

In a text message through Marcos’ spokesperson Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Ople said she agreed to join the cabinet of incoming president Marcos.

Meanwhile, Arsenio Balisacan and Bienvenido Laguesma also accepted Marcos’ offer. 

Balisacan will lead the National Economic and Development Authority while Arsenio Balisacan will head the Department of Labor and Employment. – Report from Mark Fetalco/KC – gb
