Town council candidate in Nueva Ecija shot dead

SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija – A Sangguniang Bayan (municipal council) candidate in Purok 3, Barangay Julo here was killed by a lone motorcycle-riding gunman a few meters from his house on Friday afternoon.

Allan Joson, 42, died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds, police reported.

Joson also ran but lost in the vice mayoralty race in 2016.

Nakakabahala, kasi pang-ilan na sa high-profile na casualty dito sa ating lalawigan. Inaasahan po natin ang ating kapulisan e sa lalong madaling panahon ay maresolba ito (It is alarming that there have some high-profile casualties here in our province.
