Transit passenger busted in NAIA T2

An American citizen bound for a flight to Singapore was arrested by operatives of NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) of PDEA RO-NCR in a conducted interdiction operation on Sunday morning, August 25, 2019 at NAIA Terminal 2, Pasay City.

Atty. George Paul P. Alcovindas, Officer in charge of PDEA RO-NCR identified the arrested foreign national as Geoffrey Wai Hin Tsui, 30 years old, American citizen and a transit passenger from Los Angeles, USA bound for Singapore.

Tsui was apprehended by operatives of NAIA IADITG at the Transfer Screening Checkpoint of International Departure, NAIA Terminal 2 at around 0830H, according to Atty. Alcovindas.

Confiscated and seized during the operation was 1 stick of dried leaves suspected to be Marijuana concealed in a cigarette pack found in his personal belongings.

Criminal charge for violation of Section 5 of Article II of the Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” will be filed against the arrested foreign national.
