MANILA — The trough of typhoon “Jebi” eyed outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will bring scattered rains over southern Luzon and Visayas.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said “Jebi” was last tracked 1,515 east of Basco, Batanes, outside PAR.
“Jebi” heads northwest at 20 kph, it added.
Calabarzon, Bicol, Mimaropa and Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the typhoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow over southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Winds will be light to moderate over the rest of Luzon with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
