MANILA — She was getting a retouch at the backstage, preparing to meet with her fans. She seemed shy.

Getting near the popular actress was not easy, as she was surrounded by security staff and talent managers.

Liza Soberano was at a hotel for the launch of a product that she endorses.

She still had another appointment after the fan-meet, but she took some time to accommodate an interview with the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

The 20-year-old actress is just too busy with projects, endorsements, and other showbiz commitments, one may wonder how she handles all these.

“I make sure I get some rest,” she shared in the interview on Thursday.

Having a good rest, she noted, enables her to manage stress and recharge.

She also devotes some time for recreational activities and travel. “I get to travel, but not too often,” she said.

The Filipino-American actress said despite having many projects, it’s easy for her to manage her time because of Star Magic, the talent and management center of TV network ABS-CBN. “Star Magic arranges my schedule and other stuff, so I don’t need to worry about these,” she remarked.

Soberano has been in the show business since 2011. Among the notable roles she had played were Maria Agnes Calay in the TV series “Forevermore”, Serena Marchesa in the drama series “Dolce Amore”, and Cali Ferrer in the movie “My Ex and Whys”.

Fans also love her tandem with Enrique Gil. Their love team, known as “LizQuen”, is popular among Filipinos.

Many people admire this young beauty. Her fans are people of all ages. The young lady has 7.4 million Instagram followers and 2.7 million Twitter followers. It may be recalled that even Canadian singer Justin Bieber followed her on Instagram, and “One Call Away” singer Charlie Puth even a sent a tweet to Soberano, asking if she was attending his concert in Manila.

Soberano is busy preparing for her upcoming movie”Darna”. She will play the lead role though there are no details yet as to who will her partner be in the movie.

The public will continue to see Soberano soaring high in her career. Very soon, she will be literally soaring high on the big screen as she plays the mythical, superheroine Darna.

Her advice to those wishing to be TV or movie stars like herself: “To anyone who would like to become an artist, believe in yourself. Believe in your talents and capabilities and you’ll likely reach your dreams.” (PNA)
