#UlyssesPH leaves massive damage, 0 casualties in Aurora

Typhoon #UlyssesPH has been pushed away by high pressure from Aurora where the typhoon’s eye was supposed to hit, but it still left damages on houses and livelihood in the area.

The waves in Barangay Mijares, Dipaculao Wednesday night were alarming and large rocks from the shore were pushed 50 meters to the road by a storm surge.

Fisherfolks in the area pointed out that they were prepared for the typhoon and placed their boats in a higher place. However, they did not expect the wind and rain to be stronger.

According to the Provincial Government of Aurora, its priority is to ensure the safety of the residents and giving assistance to fisherfolks. The Aurora government disclosed that it will attend to the needs of fisherfolks especially after a series of typhoons hit the province.

The province has recorded no casualties due to pre-emptive evacuation of residents in the coastal area and the landslide prone areas. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
