The University of the Philippines (UP) is returning its in-person entrance examination for freshman admission in 2023, the university announced.

This will be the first time the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) will be held since 2020.

UP suspended UPCAT due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The University will administer UPCAT on June 3 and 4 in multiple testing centers nationwide.

Qualified to apply are current grade 11 students who are expected to graduate from senior high at the end of academic year 2023-2024.

The application for UPCAT 2024 will open in March 2023.

Aside from UP, both the Ateneo de Manila University and the University of Santo Tomas also announced the return of their respective entrance tests. –ag
