‘Urduja’ leaves P1-B damage

MANILA — The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday that inclement weather caused by “Urduja” has so far caused P1.15 billion in agriculture and infrastructure damages.

In a press briefing, NDRRMC spokesperson Mina Marasigan said the damages were confined to MIMAROPA, Regions V, VII, VIII and IX.

This can be broken down into P581.47 to agriculture and P569.72 in infrastructure.

Marasigan added that a total of 12,041 houses were damaged during the weather disturbance in Regions V, VIII, and CARAGA.
