US Airforce uses PH codes over Yellow Sea

National Security Adviser Secretary Hermogenes Esperon has stated that the United States might be testing China, following the South China Morning Post report that a suspected US Air Force craft has changed its identification code when it entered the Yellow Sea in the guise of a Philippine plane.

He stated that the US may just want to know China’s reaction but the Philippines might get incriminated due to this stunt. The country’s aircrafts do not reach the Yellow Sea.

According to Sec. Esperon, the US Embassy has not yet given an explanation on the incident. The Philippines’ response on the matter is left in the hands of the Department of National Defense (DND).
