Valenzuela overtakes Pampanga in standings with victory

MANILA — Valenzuela zoomed past Pampanga in the Northern Division standings of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup after a 90-82 win at the Imus City Sports Complex on Wednesday night.

The Classic pulled away in the second half and withheld the Lantern down the stretch as both sides swapped places in the division table.

Paulo Hubalde made 25 points, making 4-of-6 from deep, 10 rebounds, six assists, and two steals for Valenzuela, which now took the ninth spot at 4-8, a full game behind Pasay in the North.
