VaxCertPH generates 138,000 certificates so far in its pilot rollout

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has added more regions listed in the pilot rollout of VaxCertPH, the country’s uniform digital vaccine certificate.

The said regions were Region 3 (Central Luzon), Region 4A (Mimaropa), Metro Cebu, and Region 11 (Davao Region).

In today’s (Sept. 25) Laging Handa public briefing, DICT Undersecretary Manny Caintic said the soft launch of VaxCertPH to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and other international travelers from Metro Manila and Baguio Cebu has received positive feedback from the public.

As of Sept. 25, the department has already issued 138,000 vaccine certificates out of 225,000 requests nationwide.

Caintic added that the Philippine’s VaxCertPH is one of the few countries worldwide that began issuing its uniform COVID-19 vaccine certification, which was in accordance with the standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO).

However, he noted that some applicants failed to generate their vaccine certificates as their records were not found in the Vaccine Information Management System (VIMS).

So on the average across all the LGUs nag-a-average na po kami ng 80%.

-rir
