VP-elect Sara Duterte oath taking set in Davao’s San Pedro Street

By Myris Lee

Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio confirmed in a radio program earlier this week that she is set to take her oath in Davao City’s San Pedro Street on June 19, 2022.

During her program at Davao City Disaster Radio on Monday, May 23, the current Davao City mayor said she chose her hometown as venue for her oath-taking because it is where she was shaped as a public servant.

“We considered no other places, except for Davao City, because Dabawenyos helped me and taught me so many things, and made me the public servant that I am today. I want to give that honor to Dabawenyos, for them to personally witness my oath-taking,” she said.

Duterte’s team has yet to send out the invitations, but no personalities have been named yet as attendees of the historic event in the city.  – ag
