By Christine Fabro

Vice President Leni Robredo received her first shot of COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday (May 19) at Pinyahan Elementary School, Quezon City.

Along with Robredo were some 18 staff from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) who are on the A3 priority list of persons with comorbidities.

Robredo got jabbed with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

“Done with my 1st dose of the vaccine. Now being monitored. Everything has been seamless,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Robredo also encouraged citizens to get inoculated against COVID-19 to protect everyone from the disease.

“Magbakuna na din kayo para protektado kayo at ang lahat ng nakakasalamuha niyo… Maraming takot sa umpisa, pero may konting yabang na ‘nung nagpakuha ng litrato,” Robredo said as she shared her post-vaccination photos.

The national government recently moved governors, mayors, and other local chiefs to the A1.5 category of the vaccine priority list, while frontliners in national government offices were placed under the A4 group. –jlo
