WALANG PASOK: Class suspensions for Aug. 22 due to inclement weather

[As of 11:00 a.m., Aug. 22] Classes in the following areas have been suspended on Friday, Aug. 22, due to the impact of Tropical Depression Isang and the southwest monsoon (habagat).

Here is the list of areas where classes are suspended:

National Capital Region (NCR)

  • Malabon City
    • Afternoon classes starting 12:00 p.m. onwards: All levels, public and private
  • Muntinlupa City
    • All levels, public and private (face-to-face classes)
  • Navotas City
    • All levels, public and private
  • Parañaque City
    • All levels, public and private
  • Caloocan City
    • All levels, public and private
  • Valenzuela City
    • Afternoon in-person classes starting 12:00 p.m. onwards: Kinder to Senior High School, public and private
    • Afternoon classes, affected classes will shift to alternative delivery modes: Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV) and Valenzuela City Technological College (ValTech)
  • Taguig City
    • Afternoon classes and school activities in all levels, public and private
  • Pasay City
    • Afternoon classes starting 12:00 p.m. onwards: All levels, public and private
  • Las Piñas City
    • All levels, public and private
  • Mandaluyong City
    • Afternoon in-person classes in all levels, public and private, and will shift to modular and asynchronous learning
  • Manila City
    • Afternoon face-to-face classes starting 12:00 p.m. onwards: All levels, public and private
  • Pasig City
    • In-person classes starting 11:00 a.m. onwards: Kinder to Senior High School, including Day Care (Early Childhood Development Centers), public and private
  • Marikina City
    • Afternoon classes: All levels, public and private
  • San Juan City
    • Afternoon classes starting 12:00 p.m. onwards: All levels, public and private
  • Pateros
    • Afternoon classes starting 1:00 p.m. onwards, to continue classes via alternative delivery mode if needed: Public and private
  • Makati City
    • Afternoon classes: Day Care to Senior High School, public and private

Region I (Ilocos)

  • La Union
    • Bangar – Afternoon classes at all levels, public and private
  • Pangasinan
    • Infanta – Afternoon classes (starting 12:00 p.m. onwards) at all levels, public and private

Region IV-A (CALABARZON)

  • Laguna
    • Sta. Rosa City – Pre-School to Senior High School (public schools only), no face-to-face classes
    • Cabuyao City – All levels, public and private schools
    • Sta. Cruz – Pre-School to Senior High School, no face-to-face classes – Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM)
    • Pila – Pre-School to Senior High School 
    • Pagsanjan – All levels, public and private
    • Kalayaan- All levels, public and private
  • Rizal
    • Jala-jala – No face-to-face classes at all levels, public and private

Region V (Bicol)

  • Albay – No face-to-face classes at all levels (to shift to alternative learning modalities), public and private
