Most wanted in NoCot town nabbed in Cotabato

COTABATO CITY – Authorities arrested here Wednesday the top wanted man of Libungan, North Cotabato.

Sr. Insp. Romel Canto, city police sub-station 1 deputy chief, said suspect Rene “Bad Boy” Laureano, 20, of Parang, Maguindanao, was arrested by combined city police elements and Libungan police personnel at Tawan-tawan Park while whiling away time.

“The suspect thought that lawmen would not be looking for him in this city considering that he is from Parang town but he was wrong,” Canto said adding that lawmen had been tracking the suspect’s whereabouts for quite sometime.

Laureano is facing a Sept. 29, 2016 murder case before the Libungan trial court. He ran and hid in Cotabato City to escape arrest.

The suspect was immediately turned over to the custody of the Libungan police force following his arrest. (Noel Punzalan/PNA)
