MANILA – The easterlies affecting the eastern section of the country will bring generally warm weather but with isolated rains, especially in the afternoon, the weather bureau said Friday, June 24.

“There will be no weather disturbance until the weekend. However, some low pressure areas (LPA) may likely develop until the end of June,” Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Estareja said fair weather will be experienced over most of Luzon.

The temperature could reach up to 33 °C in Metro Manila and 32 °C in Laoag, Tuguegarao, Legazpi, the Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa.

For most parts of the country, it will be warm at noon, Estareja said.

The Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather the whole day, though isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon.

Zamboanga’s temperature could reach 33 °C; while Tacloban, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao’s maximum temperature is 32 °C.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago. (PNA) – bny
