Wushu’s Agatha Wong adds bronze to PH medal haul

JAKARTA — Agatha Chrystenzen Wong delivered the Philippines’ third bronze medal in the 18th Asian Games after finishing third in the women’s taijijian event in wushu at the JIExpo Kemayoran Hall B3 here.

The 20-year-old student from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde placed third with a total score of 19.36 points.

Indonesia’s Lindswell Kwok tallied 19.50 points to claim the gold while Hong Kong’s Mok Uen Ying Juanita registered 19.42 points to win the silver medal.

Wong is a gold medalist in the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She bagged the silver medal in the 2015 World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia and claimed the bronze medal in the Asian Championships in Taoyuan, Chinese Taiwan. (Jean Malanum/PNA)
