Zambo City to set up health stations in cemeteries

ZAMBOANGA CITY — The City Health Office will establish health stations in public cemeteries to respond to cases of emergency during the observance of All Saints and All Souls Days in this city.

Dr. Rodelin Agbulos, city health officer, on Saturday said these health stations will be handled by physicians and other medical staff of his office. They will be equipped with ambulances.

Agbulos said that they will be assisted by personnel from the police, Bureau of Fire, Philippine Red Cross, Zamboanga City Medical Center, Puericulture Center and City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.

“We encourage private cemeteries to come up with their health team since our focus will be on public cemeteries,” he said.

He advised the public to bring gears to protect them from the scorching heat of the sun while visiting their departed loved ones in cemeteries. (PNA)
