Zambo Comelec to release BEI honoraria Friday

ZAMBOANGA CITY–The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has scheduled the release of the honorarium of the Board of Elections Inspectors (BEIs) either on Thursday (May 17) or Friday (May 18).

Lawyer Stephen Roy Cañete, first district election officer, on Wednesday said they are just completing the documentary requirements in preparation for the release of the remuneration.

Cañete said the payment will be released through cash cards from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).

Cañete said that a total of 4,044 BEIs served on Monday’s barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in this city.

He said the remuneration amount are as follows: poll chairperson, PHP6,000 honorarium plus PHP1,000 transportation allowance; and, poll clerk and poll member, PHP5,000 honorarium plus PHP1,000 transportation allowance.
