Zambo Norte lady cop passes 2017 Bar exam

ZAMBOANGA CITY–A policewoman assigned with Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Police Office (ZNPPO) was among the 1,724 passers in the 2017 Bar examination.

Chief Supt. Billy Beltran, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) director, named the Bar passer as PO1 Mary Jane Cabral-Balindan, who belongs to the Investigation and Detective Management Branch of the ZNPPO.

Beltran said Balindan was among the 17 uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) who passed the Bar examination last year.

The Supreme Court released the results of the 2017 Bar Examination on April 26, 2018.

Balindan is the wife of Insp. Jefferson Balindan, the chief of police in the town of Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte.

Beltran said the Bar examination passers may become commissioned officers through lateral entry by joining the PNP’s Legal Service, whose personnel are assigned to various PNP units. (PNA)
