Zero Holy Week-related incident in Central Luzon noted

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) has recorded zero-related incidents during the observance of Lenten season in the region.

Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, PRO3 director, on Monday said all the provincial and city police offices in Central Luzon reported to him that no crime-related incident happened in their respective area of jurisdiction during the Holy Week.

Corpus attributed this situation to diligent efforts of the police personnel that ensured the safety and security of the general public, especially in the pilgrim sites and churches.

“We have deployed 4,000 policemen just for the Holy Week alone and I commend them for their assiduousness in performing their duties indeed, it paid off with no single incident happened. I would also thank the public for their cooperation and support to us,” the PRO3 director told reporters.

Corpus further said police assistance desks and motorists assistance centers are still in place until June 13 in convergence points, particularly in bus terminals, airport, seaports and recreational areas including highways, main thoroughfares and crime-prone areas to ensure maximum police presence. (Ric Sapnu/PNA)
