₱2.7M worth of shabu nabbed in Navotas

More than 400 grams of suspected methamphetamine with a value of more than ₱2.7M was nabbed during a buy bust operation in Navotas City.

Operatives from the city’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the suspect, Crisanto Lazaro, 39 years old, and resident of Barangay Tangos South.

In a spot report released by the Navotas City Police Station, the buy-bust transpired around 12:30AM. Lazaro allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to a poser buyer and was caught after the go signal for arrest.

A further search yielded another small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and 4 pieces of knot-tied plastic ice bag containing shabu. Other pieces of evidence recovered were 3 pieces of 1,000 peso bills used as buy-bust money and a maroon belt bag. Lazaro will be charged with violation of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.- Bernard Jaudian, Jr.
