₱13.6 million worth of shabu seized in Sulu

Authorities seized ₱13.6 million worth of shabu in Indanan, Sulu.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday (Sep. 23), along with operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), PDEA-IX, Sulu Provincial Police Office, and military intelligence units under the Western Mindanao Command, conducted the buy-bust operation in Barangay Buanza in Indanan town.

According to PNP Chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, suspected drug dealer Yahiya Kadjuri was arrested in the operation and will be facing charges for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165 or Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

However, two alleged associates of Kadjuri have been able to escape.

Eleazar ordered the manhunt operation against the escaped suspects and will continue their investigation regarding the extent of the suspects’ operation.

“Makakaasa po kayo na itong ating ginagawang efforts against big time illegal drug syndicates at grupo ay maaasahan natin yan dahil napakaganda po ng koordinasyon na ginagawa ng iba’t ibang ahensya,” he said.
