10-hour power outage in Tarlac, Nueva Ecija on Oct. 17

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac — Some areas in this province and nearby Nueva Ecija will experience a 10-hour power interruption on Tuesday, according to the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP).

Ernest Lorenz B. Vidal, NGCP Central Luzon corporate communications and public affairs officer, said the 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. scheduled shutdown of its transmission facilities would affect areas being serviced by Tarlac I Electric Cooperative Inc. (TARELCO I) and Tarlac II Electric Cooperative Inc. (TARELCO II).

Vidal said the affected areas are the towns of Bamban, Capas, Concepcion and La Paz, all in Tarlac, and Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija.

”The NGCP will conduct maintenance activities inside the Concepcion sub-station and Concepcion-Camiling 69kV line,” he said.

Vidal asked NGCP’s customers and the general public to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled power interruption as he assured that normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. (NGCP)
