100 rebels in Quezon yield to PNP

One hundred rebels from Quezon province surrendered on Sept. 22, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The said rebels were members and supporters of Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) including the Militiang Bayan, one Sangay ng Partido sa Localidad, and 71 members of United Farmers Association.

The rebels underwent custodial debriefing after their mass surrender and CAMO disaffiliation activities led by MTF-ELCAC San Narciso Mayor Florabelle Uy-Yap.

Meanwhile, PNP Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. lauded PNP’s achievements in securing a safe community for Filipinos.

“Let these resounding achievements of our PNP units and personnel serve as the core of our MKK=K o ang Malasakit, Kaayusan at Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran as our peace and security framework for a secured future,” Azurin said. –KC/gb
