11.6-M families receive SAP aid

11.6 million families have received cash assistance under the Social Amelioration Program of the government. It is 64.5 percent of the 18 million families the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has targeted for the aid distribution.

According to DSWD Spokesperson Irene Dumlao, the department has distributed PhP 62.8 billion from the PhP100 billion fund given by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

This is apart from the PhP 16. 7 billion directly distributed to the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
