110K devotees attend procession of Black Nazarene replicas

MANILA — An estimated 110,000 people participated in the procession of the replicas of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila Sunday afternoon.

Devotees gatherered in front of the St. John the Baptist Church in Quiapo to participate in the procession.

Crowd estimates were as of 6 p.m., Manila Police District spokesperson Supt. Erwin Margarejo said.

Authorities said the procession is ongoing despite heavy rains.

He added the procession route would cover the entire Quiapo area with the situation still peaceful as of this posting. (PNA)
