Isolated rains over PH on Sunday as Egay moves west northwest

MANILA — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered isolated rainshowers and
thunderstorms due to southwest monsoon (habagat) will prevail over the archipelago, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.
In its 3 a.m. forecast, PAGASA said the center of tropical depression “Egay”, estimated based at 810 kilometers (kms)  east of Daet, Camarines Norte or at 940 kms east of Infanta, Quezon, is moving west northwest at 15 kms per hour, causing southwest monsoons to affect Luzon and Visayas as localized thunderstorms affect the rest of Mindanao.
PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate and at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Light to strong winds will blow all over the country while coastal waters along all areas will be slight to moderate.
