2 listed ‘pushers’ nabbed in Koronadal, GenSan

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Anti-drug operatives arrested two target-listed “drug personalities” in separate operations here and in Koronadal City on Monday.

Supt. Benjiel Kirby L. Bajo, Koronadal City police chief, said suspect Gary James Ga Pasquin, 29, was nabbed during an entrapment along the national highway in Purok Masagana, Barangay Zone 3 at around 12:55 p.m.

Bajo said the suspect sold a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth PHP500 to a police officer who posed as a buyer.

Recovered from Pasquin were a pack of suspected shabu valued at PHP3,000, PHP500 marked bill used in the buy-bust, various drug paraphernalia, and dried marijuana leaves.

He said they earlier received a tip from an informant regarding the illegal activities of the suspect.

“We subjected him to a series of surveillance operations and eventually confirmed his involvement in the drug trade,” he said.

In this city, elements from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Region 12 arrested suspect Bryan Emmanuel Guinto Santos, 31, in a buy-bust operation at around 10:45 p.m. along Guinto Street in Barangay San Isidro.

Naravy Duquiatan, acting head of PDEA-12, said Santos was nabbed after agreeing to sell a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover agent.

Duquiatan said the suspect yielded three more sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.2 grams.

Pasquin and Santos will be charged with selling and possession of dangerous drugs, under Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Alejandro Saludo/PNA)
