2017 Miss Scuba Philippines, Officially Kicks Off

PASAY CITY—The 2017 Miss Scuba Philippines has officially launched its exhilarating pageant with the theme “Saving Oceans through Beauty” that will be held on October 8. This one-of-a kind pageant celebrates the inner beauty and audacity of an empowered modern woman while advocating marine conservation across the world.

In a press-conference held at Belmont Hotel, Ms. Scuba Philippines formally opened their doors to aspiring young women who have a genuine passion for the conservation of marine biodiversity and sustainable marine tourism through scuba diving. The candidates should exemplify not only beauty but profound love and compassion for nature.

Ms. Scuba Philippines Director and 2015 Miss Scuba International Cindy Pacia Madumma also announced the qualifications of interested participants which are 18 to 28 years of age, single, has never given birth, of good moral character, with pleasing personality and willing to go into dive training.

This event also aims to promote eco-tourism and Philippine culture through the sport of scuba diving. With this sport, the organization believes that it will inspire more people to be more actively involved in protecting and preserving the environment.

Belmont Hotel will be the Official Residence of the candidates and Bauan Divers Sanctuary & Resort will be the dive site.

The Winner of the pageant will represent the country on the 7th Edition of Miss Scuba International 2017 to be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia on November 18, 2017.
