3-day local absentee voting ends today

The last day of the three-day local absentee voting (LAV) on Friday, April 29,  went on smoothly without any unforeseen incidents reported.

Members of the media, government employees in the military, health, police, among others were covered by the conduct of LAV which began last Wednesday, April 27.

In a brief walk-through of LAV by PTV reporter Allan Francisco, the process begins with the checking of body temperature, followed by writing and checking of the voter name and their network. The ballot which will be filled manually will be handed to the voter.

Local absentee voters are only allowed to vote for national positions including president, vice-president, senators, and a party-list group.

In a recent interview, Election Commissioner George Garcia said over 84,221 Filipinos were approved and expected to cast their ballots for the 2022 local absentee voting.  ML-ag
