3 dead in Bulacan building collapse

Three individuals were reported dead after a building collapsed within the Muralla Industrial Park in Meycauayan, Bulacan past 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31.

Ronald Soriano, Fire Officer III of Meycauayan Bureau of Fire Protection, said the majority of the employees occupying the building were already outside the area when they arrived.

“Agad naman kaming rumesponde, pero nabanggit na sa amin na collapsed structure… Ininform nila kaagad sa amin [na] may naiwan sa loob ng nag-collapse na structure,” he said.

Four employees were left inside the building, including a 28-year-old woman who was rescued around 8:00 p.m. The three other victims were declared dead on arrival after they were rushed to the hospital.
