3 drug pushers nabbed in Isabela

CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City — Authorities in Alicia and San Mariano towns in Isabela arrested three drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations Monday morning.

Police Regional Office-Region 2 (PRO-2) information officer, Superintendent Chivarlier Iringan, identified the suspects as Jimson Allapitan, 40, of Barangay Maggasi, Cabagan Isabela; Leonardo Lauron Jr., 36, and Dante Carungao, both welders and residents of Barangay Saranay, Cabatuan, Isabela.
Allapitan was arrested by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 2, and Isabela Police.

Confiscated from him was one sachet of “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride and PHP1,000 marked money.

Lauron and Carungao were arrested by Alicia policemen for selling illegal drugs in Barangay MH Del Pilar, Alicia, Isabela.

Recovered from them were two plastic sachets of shabu and marked money.

“Right now, we will be filing a case of Republic Act 9165 or Dangerous Drugs Act of 2000 violation against the suspects,” Iringan said. (Simeon Dilan/ PNA)
