31 dead in Maguindanao due to ‘Paeng’

At least 31 individuals died as continuous heavy rains brought by Typhoon “Paeng” caused flooding and landslides in Maguindanao del Norte, a Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) said Friday, Oct. 28.

Bangsamoro READI Head Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo said most of the victims died due to landslides or drowned from the strong current of the flood.

Sinarimbo said hundreds of families have been forced to evacuate from 11 municipalities and cities in BARMM due to flooding. –Report from Jaira Mondez/KC – gb
