327 Antique villages to get solar street lamps

SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique — The provincial government here has allotted PHP24.5 million for the installation of 981 solar street lamps in 327 barangays in the province.

Antique provincial information officer Galileo Magbanua, in an interview Wednesday, said that Governor Rhodora Cadiao is grateful to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for approving a supplemental budget for the Solar Street Lamp Project, which is considered another developmental project for the province.

“There will be 327 barangays from all 18 towns of the province that would benefit from the project,”Magbanua said.
Antique has 590 barangays.

Three posts will be installed in each barangay’beneficiary, Magbanua added.

One unit costs PHP25,000 and the project will be implemented within the year. ( Annabel Consuelo Petinglay/PNA)
