By Pearl Gumapos

313,560 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Manila last Wednesday night (Aug. 18) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 Bay 116 via DHL flight LD456.

According to vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., a total of 365,040 doses of government-procured Pfizer vaccines arrived; however, 51,480 doses were first dropped off at Cebu at around 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, 51,480 doses were delivered to Davao this morning.

The remaining doses will be reserved for the National Capital Region (NCR), Galvez said.

“”Karamihan dito yung bibigyan natin are those areas na hindi pa nabibigyan ng Pfizer. We are trying to roll out to them so that in the future, once deliveries on Pfizer pick up, they are well aware and already well-trained on how to handle the sensitivities of Pfizer,” he said. -rir
