The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized 4 kilograms of smuggled Chinese medicine from Taiwan at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The bureau found out that the medicine has no clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It was declared as a “box of plastic” and has reached a warehouse in Pasay through an air cargo company with a male consignee addressed in Tondo, Manila. The BOC is closely monitoring airports to prevent contrabands from getting through.
