4 Manila-Basco flights cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA — Four flights between Manila and Basco were cancelled on Monday due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

These flights were Cebgo (DG) 6009/6010 Manila-Basco-Manila and Skyjet (M8) 818/819 Manila-Basco-Manila.

State weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) earlier said typhoon “Maliksi” (formerly “Domeng”) was last eyed at 1,770 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

“Maliksi” has maximum sustained winds of 100 km/h, and gustiness of up to 120 km/h. It is forecast to move east-northeast at 23 km/h, the agency added. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
