4 nabbed, P22.5-M marijuana confiscated in Pasig drug bust

MANILA – Police officers seized P22.5 million worth of high-grade marijuana from four suspects in a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Monday (March 14) night.

In a report released on Tuesday, Brig. Gen. Randy Peralta, chief of the Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG), said suspects Mivier Miranda, Abdel Badio, Jeffrey Tavas, and Dante Garbida, all residents of Cainta, Rizal, were arrested during the operation at East Road Bank, Soldiers Village in Barangay Sta. Lucia at around 6:15 p.m.

Recovered from the suspects were 15 kilograms of marijuana, one piece of genuine P1,000 bill, boodle money, assorted IDs, and a marijuana tube.

The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the pieces of evidence seized in the operation were brought to the DEG headquarters in Camp Crame for documentation. (PNA)
