45 million worth of shabu nabbed in joint buy bust

October 5, 2020. Cebu City—An estimated 45 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in a joint operation conducted by Cebu City Police Office’s Police Station 7 and 8, spearheaded by PCapt. Jonathan Bethovon Taneo and Police Majot John Kareeno Escober earlier this morning in Fatima Homes, Brgy. Inayawan, Cebu City.

Arrested drug personalities are identified as Reynaldo Si-it Atillo, 47 and Reynante Cabije Tacatani, 36.

Confiscated from Atillo was an estimated 1 kilo of shabu. On the other hand, 5 kilos were seized from Tacatani. An estimated total of 6 kilos of shabu with DDB value of 45 Million pesos.

Based on the investigation conducted, Tacatani (the main disposer) is the direct contact of “Jao” who is a known ring leader of the illegal drugs activity in Metro Cebu.

According to PBGen. ALbert Ignatius D. Ferro, intensive police operations are in place even in this time of pandemic.

“We will go after you and let you account for your actions,” added Ferro
