Another batch of the Sinovac vaccine CoronaVac is set to arrive in the Philippines on Sunday (April 11).

According to Philippine Ambassador to China Chito Sto. Romana, the batch of 500,000 doses arriving today are part of the 3.5 million doses that the Department of Health (DOH) procured and are set to be delivered in April and May.

This is the second batch of vaccines to arrive.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) disclosed that the vaccines will arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 2 at 5:55 p.m. aboard flight PR359, a PAL A330 aircraft (RP-C878).

The first batch comprising one million doses of Sinovac vaccine that were procured by the government was transported from Beijing to Manila on March 29, also by PAL. The airline also carried, via another Beijing to Manila flight, 400,000 doses of donated Sinovac vaccines.
