55% of Pinoys amenable to going back to work after quarantine – SWS

More than half of Filipinos expressed that they are comfortable going back to work in case the community quarantine or lockdown is lifted in August, the new SWS survey revealed.

Based on the survey, 55 percent of those with jobs feel comfortable reporting to work while 40 percent said they feel otherwise. The proportion of those with jobs who feel comfortable in going to work is highest in Mindanao at 64 percent, followed by Balance Luzon at 55 percent, Visayas at 50 percent, and Metro Manila at 45 percent.

It can be recalled some companies have altered working arrangements for their employees due to the threat of COVID-19. The test was conducted among 1,555 adult Filipinos from July 3 to 6 through mobile phone and computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI).
