6.0-magnitude quake rocks Sarangani; aftershocks expected

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake rocked Sarangani Island, Davao Occidental Tuesday morning, Sept. 26, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The quake hit 256 kilometers (km) southeast of Sarangani Island.

It had a depth of 155 km and was tectonic in origin.

Intensity IV was reported in Glan, Sarangani, while Intensity I was logged in General Santos, South Cotabato.

No damage reported but aftershocks are expected.
