7.8 quake hits Alaska

A magnitude 7.8 earthquake has rocked Alaska Wednesday night.

According to the US Geological Survey, the shaker hit at 10:12 PM on Wednesday. Its center has been seen 105 kilometers south-southeast of Peryville and has a depth of 28 kilometers.

There are no reported injuries or casualties although the US government has issued a tsunami warning prompting the evacuation of residents from coastlines. The warning was lifted after 2 hours.
