8 Manila barangays under lockdown

The Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) has confirmed that the city government has placed some of its barangays or villages under lockdown to prevent the increase of COVID-19 cases in the country.

The MPIO said the lockdown has been imposed on Manila’s Zone 4 which includes barangays 48 to 55 with more or less than 24,000 residents.

Under the directive, going in and out of the area is restricted, but a member of each household is allowed to buy basic goods through a pass provided by the Manila Barangay Bureau.

Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has coordinated with some hotels and motels in the city to cater to health workers working in six public hospitals in Manila. – Report from Kenneth Paciente
