9 policemen involved in Sulu shooting now in PNP custody

The nine police officers involved in the shooting incident in Jolo, Sulu are now under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP). They have arrived in Camp Crame along with Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Regional Director Police Brigadier General Manuel Abu.

The policemen will undergo restrictive custody while the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)’s probe is ongoing.

According to PNP Spokesperson Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac, this measure is an initiative to hasten the investigation and to help ease tension in Jolo.
