Parreño will replace Major Gen. Emmanuel S. Salamat, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1985, who was appointed head of the Tarlac City-based Northern Luzon Command on Monday following the retirement of Lt. Gen. Romeo Tanalgo, PMC public affairs office head Lt. Rowena Dalmacio said.
