Frontal system affecting northern Luzon

By Lily Ramos/PNA

MANILA — Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail in some areas of northern Luzon on Tuesday due to a frontal system.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quezon will be affected by the frontal system.

A frontal system is a weather system involving one or more fronts. It can bring out persistent rains when it interacts with cold and warm air masses.

Metro Manila and the other parts of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies caused by the ridge of a high-pressure area.

Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 21 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City, 22-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 13-24 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu, 23-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao, 25-33 degrees Celsius.
