Consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s marching orders to make healthcare services more accessible and inclusive for Filipinos, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) continues to lead the way in distributing medical implements nationwide.
This, as the agency facilitated the turnover of a patient transport vehicle, medical equipment, and medicines at an infirmary in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan late Tuesday.
In a pre-recorded video message, President Marcos Jr. said, “I’m very happy to announce to our friends in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan that the equipment that was requested for your medical facilities has already been approved and will be provided by the PCSO.”
The PCSO’s donation included a stationary X-ray machine, adjustable hospital beds, additional patient transport vehicle, medicines, wheelchairs, and other medical devices for the infirmary.
Meanwhile, PCSO General Manager Mel Robles emphasized that these initiatives underscore the importance of how support for legal games translates into meaningful assistance for communities who need them the most.
GM Robles said in a statement, “Every time we visit a community like Santa Barbara, we are reminded of the purpose behind the work to bring assistance to Filipinos who need it the most. Every Filipino deserves access to proper medical care, regardless of circumstances.”
At this juncture, Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III and Sta. Barbara Mayor Carlito Zaplan expressed their gratitude for the President and the PCSO.
Through its medical equipment , and PTV donation programs, PCSO’s assistance will strengthen the Sta. Barbara Infirmary’s diagnostic and patient care services and help transport residents to medical facilities.
