DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director, Ador Canlas, said the road rehabilitation will begin at 11 p.m. Friday in the cities of Quezon, Pasig, and Makati.

The road works will cover Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), southbound direction from New York Street to before Monte de Piedad, 2nd lane from sidewalk and at Katipunan Avenue, southbound direction after C. P. Garcia to before Gonzales Street and after F. Dela Rosa Street, truck lane in Quezon City.

In Makati City, reblocking activity will be conducted in EDSA northbound from 50 meters after the Magallanes MRT to KM 29, outer lane.

Also, repair works will be undertaken on Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) covering southbound direction approaching Ortigas Flyover up to Tiendesitas in Pasig City.

Reblocking activity will be done at the northbound direction of C-5 fronting SM Aura, Taguig City.

With this, the DPWH official advised to take alternate routes due to expected traffic slowdown in affected areas.

The said sections will be re-opened at 5 a.m. Monday.
